to the top!

So two weekends ago, we took a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG weekend to Gatlinburg with the parents in law.  It was much needed time away!  We had a FANTASTIC time.  The weather was perfect and we packed the weekend full of fun  Thanks to a lovely app I found on my iphone cleverly called audiobooks, we listened to Treasure Island (for free, YAY) on our way there and back.  It made the time fly by and I would recommend the book or the app to anyone.  Anyways once we got there we perused the shops in Gatlinburg and then went on the skylift.  So fun!

While on the skylift, we saw BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  A whole family!!!!

We then shopped a little more and headed into the mountains for some hiking.  Was the perfect day for a hike and drive through the mountains. 

I just love this kid.

The next day we hit up Pigeon Forge where we went to the Titanic Museum.  I will say going in I was a bit skeptical about how it would be.  I figured lots of weird junk but it was actually really amazing.  I would highly recommend it, although not for small children, it is a lot of reading.  We followed that up with dinner at the old saw mill which was DELISH!  We then headed up to the highest peak in the Smokey Mountains, Clingmans Dome.  It was quite the hike up but totally worth it!  The view was breathtaking.
